Hi my name is Ms.Jackie. I have been working at First Steps Learning Academy for about 2 years now and I love it. I am a very mellow person and really patient. My favorite color is blue. I love to cook. Trying out new recipes of different food is delicious. My all time favorite food is TACOS. I also love eating junk food but "shhh nobody is supposed to know". My free time is dedicated to my kids. Spending time with them going out to arcades, doing fun things or just sitting at home watching movies is my all time favorite thing to do when I’m away from work. I love to watch scary movies but I also love to watch cartoon movies with my children. My all-time favorite movie is Disney Dinosaurs movie. I am always up for something new. I love trying new things, food, etc.

About ME

My Family

I was born and raised in West Palm Beach ,FL and currently living in Niceville, FL I have 4 amazing kids, JR, Reli, Bianka, and Nana. My husband and I been together for 5 years. I currently have 2 puppies. My parent are from Mexico and have been living in the U.S.A for about 30 years. I have 7 siblings. I have 3 sisters and 3 brothers. I am the 2nd youngest girl. I have 2 younger siblings. I have a total of 14 nieces and nephews.

My Experience 

I been working in the early childhood field for about 2 years and a half. I have my Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification. Some accomplishments I have made while working at FSLA, are completed 40hrs of required training. I also have some in-services training.

Working With Children

I love working and interacting with children of all ages. I am currently working with the preschool age children. I think it's amazing to learn all the different things that they are interested in.The different conversation they have and how they explore their own imagination is incredible to me. Being involved with children and showing them
how to learn new things is more then just a job to me. It is my passion.

Working at FSLA!

For me working at First Steps Learning Academy is not a job but a second home.All the staff at FSLA is like family
to me. Everyone here is always helpful, loving and warming in any possible way they can. We all working together to figure things out. We are a team at FSLA. Exciting moments here at FSLA is our Christmas parties, where we all come together to celebrate such an amazing holiday. Interacting with everyone and their families is delightful. Another exciting moment is when I enrolled in to online classes with the help and encouragement my boss (Mrs.Brittney). If it was't for her encouragement I wouldn't have taken the steps to enroll in classes and start my career.
